Subscription genealogy site World Vital Records brings together family history resources both from other subscription sites and free Web sites, along with digitized material not available elsewhere online. To help you decide whether or not you’ll need to pay for content, here’s what World Vital Records has from each of its content partners.

E-Yearbook.com
On this site, you can access decades of university, middle school, high school and military academy yearbooks for $4.95 a month or $29.95 a year. World Vital Records has yearbooks from more than 60 universities and the Naval Academy.

Ellis Island
This free site gives more details than you’ll find on World VitalRecords version. The Ellis Island site also provides digital images of original passenger manifests, and pictures of passenger ships.

Eneclann
Eneclann publishes Irish records CDs priced between about $17 and $110. Some of the records also are available for a fee through Irish Origins. World Vital Records has the Index of Irish Wills, 1484-1858, and the 1851 census of Dublin.

Everton Publishers
Online access to Everton’s Genealogical Helper, Everton’s Pedigree Chart and Family Group Sheets database and selected books from the Everton Library are available only through World Vital Records.

Familias Argentinas
These free online family trees from Argentina, all available on World Vital Records, have more than 185,000 names.

Find-a-Grave
Users have contributed 33 million grave records to the free Find-a-Grave. On World Vital Records, you can search the data by state, but on Find-a-Grave you can also search by county or country.

FindMyPast.com
This large British service, about $88 for 6 months or $143 a year, provides online access to English and Welsh records. World Vital Records has licensed the census records from 1841 to 1901 and birth, marriage and death indexes from 1837 to 1983. FindMyPast gives you more search options.

Gale Publishing
World Vital Records’ version of Filby’s Passenger and Immigration Lists Index occasionally will give you only a useless code. Ancestry.com ’s version of the same gives full bibliographic references.

Genealogical Publishing Company
More than half of the 2,000 books published by Genealogical Publishing Co. are also on World Vital Records. More books are coming, including recent titles. Many Genealogical Publishing Co. books from before April 2005 are also on Ancestry.com.

Godfrey Memorial Library
A basic Godfrey  subscription, $35 a year, gives you access to 4,000 genealogies, biographies and other items that are also available on World Vital Records, as well as several newspaper archives. For a $100 Godfrey subscription, you also get access to NewspaperARCHIVE and World Vital Records’ US Collection.

Immigrant Ships Transcribers Guild
World Vital Records has half of the 10,000 passenger lists transcribed by volunteers on this free site.

NewspaperARCHIVE
You can view up to three newspaper pages a day for free here, or get unlimited access with a premium membership for $17.99 a month or $119.88 a year. World Vital Records has select NewspaperARCHIVE titles for several states. Members of the New England Historic Genealogical Society ($75 a year) get full access to NewspaperARCHIVE. Ancestry.com provides access through its own interface.

Origins Network
This British subscription site ($17.37 a month or $77.77 a year) has resources for England and Wales, such as the 1841, 1861 and 1871 censuses, marriage indexes and wills, and Ireland, including Griffith’s Valuation and the 1851 and 1901 Dublin censuses. World Vital Records has the passenger lists from 1890 and militia records from 1872 to 1915.

QuintinPublications.com
Quintin Publications specializes in Canadian genealogy and publishes 10,000 titles in print and on CD. World Vital Records has almost 5,000 books from Quintin, including genealogies, biographical collections, local histories and Quebec marriages.

Ryerson Index Online Database
This free database, also available in whole on World Vital Records, has more than 2 million death notices from 156 Australian newspapers.

Simmons Historical Bookstore
World Vital Records has 350 of Simmons’ genealogical resource books for Kentucky, North Carolina and Tennessee.
