Where would genealogists be without the Internet? That's easy — driving along highways and back streets, one eye on the map, looking for the local library in an ancestor's hometown. Maybe getting lost on the way to an unfamiliar library is inevitable when doing genealogy. But the Internet cuts down on such unpleasant occurrences. The plethora of information on the Web means you can do much of your research from home, then go to the library prepared for an efficient, productive visit (and with an online map, maybe you won't get lost).
