AncestorNews: Bragging Rights
9/26/2009

If you haven't visited the Family Tree Magazine Web site at www.familytreemagazine.com lately, you're missing out on a tremendous resource. I was recently on the site, looking back at articles I've written for this newsletter (see www.familytreemagazine.com/ancestornews/previous.html). While there, I spent considerable time checking out all the goodies the magazine has made available not just to subscribers, but to the entire genealogy community. I'd like to share a few of the things I found.

Ethnic Toolkits: These toolkits are packed with hands-on information on tracing your immigrant and ethnic heritage. For example, if your ancestors came from France, follow the "French" links to Research Tips, Resources, Organizations and Web sites. Under Research Tips, for example, you'll find a helpful article by Maureen Taylor on getting started in French research. www.familytreemagazine.com/ethnic_intro.asp

Web Exclusive: This is the place to find tips and tricks that aren't in the print version of the magazine. You'll find help on identifying photographs, doing cemetery research, and visiting the "Site of the Day". You'll also find the expert's answers to tough research questions. www.familytreemagazine.com/webonly.html

Free Forms: Download forms, like census blanks, pedigree charts, note taking forms, research logs, family correspondence and time capsules. All are easy to download and are free. www.familytreemagazine.com/forms/download.html

Don't be a stranger! Come visit the site at www.familytreemagazine.com.
