Genealogy made a major US television network’s prime-time lineup in NBC’s “Who Do You Think You Are?”, an adaptation of a successful British show of the same name. Episodes follow celebrities Lisa Kudrow, Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick, Susan Sarandon, Spike Lee, Brooke Shields and Emmitt Smith as they explore their roots in the United States and abroad.
It’s been a long time coming. Family Tree Magazine first covered the series in the September 2008 issue, when it was slated to air that fall. The show’s premiere was rescheduled several times before landing on March 5.
