Make sure you search for these records online.
With so many institutions and individuals transcribing their genealogical documents, you really can find “real records” on the Net. If you're not sure which records are available, think about the paper trails you've created. Then, make a list of the records your ancestors might have generated. Here are a few ideas to jump-start your search:

? baptismal certificates
