FamilySearch unveils its new Web site to church members.

A radically updated version of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' (LDS) genealogy Web site <www.familysearch.org> is on its way to a computer near you. “New” FamilySearch is rolling out this year in phases - at first, only to church members for evaluation. It promises to be more user-friendly, collaborative and interactive, with changes including:

• The International Genealogical Index, Ancestral File and Pedigree Resource File databases are combined, so your search results show a single family tree that merges data on the same person.
