America's oldest genealogical society has revamped its Web site and built an even stronger online resource.

If you liked the New England Historic Genealogical Society's (NEHGS) online home, NewEnglandAncestors.org <www.newenglandancestors.org>, before its 2004 overhaul, you'll love it now. The cleaner, simpler site boasts all the benefits it had before, but now they're easier to find, thanks to a handy “shortcut” menu and site map. Even if you don't belong to the Boston-based organization — or your genealogical interests don't center on New England — you'll still uncover useful research tools here. But be forewarned: This site has so much great members-only content that you might be tempted to join.
