Start searching here. You’ll be prompted to sign up for a free basic account after you enter an ancestor’s information and click Search. It looks like in order to download the record, you’ll need to start a two-week free trial.

  1. Hi, Sarah, I understand what you’re saying. You can view the record without starting a free trial (try taking a screenshot to save the record image, if you want to skip the free trial process).

  2. Hi, Patrick, I tried it and I had no problem viewing the digitized document without starting a free trial.

    I did have to start a free basic membership, which is different from a free trial.

    Perhaps you were inadvertently searching a record not included in this offer. Otherwise, you might contact Ancestry.com for help with the issue you experienced.
