Good news, family historians! We’re offering one of our interactive online seminars for free to celebrate the sesquicentennial of the Civil War.

Learn what life was really like during the war between the states for the soldiers who fought and died in the conflict, as well as the civilians they left behind at home. Take a virtual trip back to the 1860s with Michael O. Varhola, the author of the new book Life in Civil War America, to discover what your ancestors wore, said, ate, earned, did for fun and more.

Registration for the live session includes:
* participation in the live presentation and Q&A session
* access to the webinar recording to view again as many times as you like
* PDF of the presentation slides for future reference
* coupon for purchase of Life in Civil War America or 2011 Civil War desk calendar

The Life in Civil War America webinar is scheduled for April 6 at 2 p.m. Click here to reserve your spot.

UPDATE:
If you cannot attend the free webinar when it is being broadcast, you can still access the recording and handouts afterward by registering for the webinar. Click here to register.

  1. I so agree with DearMYRTLE above. Unfortunately, I have already registered for another webinar for Legacy Family Tree Webinars that is at the same time on the same day. However, if I register for this webinar also, will I then be able to hear it at another time- will it be archived for those who register? This is when I wish I could be at two places, or two computers, at the same time! 🙂

  2. Hi. I have the same question, I have already signed up for another Webinar at same time. do I need to register for this if I want to view the archived version (is there going to be an archived version?). Thank you, Tina Sansone

  3. I have registered for the webinar, but when it took me to the next page, it almost immediately went to another site and I was not able to copy the instructions and could not find the info when I would go back one page. I looked for another way to the info and as I could not find one, registered again and the same thing happened. Can you please tell me where I can find the instructions?
