Family Tree University Spring 2018 Virtual Genealogy Conference

One of the best parts of a genealogy conference is bringing your family tree research questions to experts. You get a solution to a problem that’s been nagging you, and  you’re as happy as the kids in the picture.

So during our Spring 2018 Virtual Genealogy Conference, happening online April 6-8, we’ll offer three live, 30-minute Q&A sessions:

The sessions will include answers to brick wall questions from real, live conference participants. Each Q&A sessions will be presented as a live webinar. To participate, you first need to register for the Virtual Conference. After the conference begins on April 6, log in and look in the Orientation for the section on live Q&A sessions. Follow those instructions to register for each of the Q&A webinars.

We’ll also record these Q&A sessions and add the recordings to the conference. That means participants can download and re-watch the Q&As just like all the other conference video classes.

How to Ask Your Genealogy Questions

There are two ways Virtual Conference participants submit your genealogy research questions for the live Q&As:

  1. Before the conference begins: Submit your question by emailing Family Tree University at This is encouraged (hint, hint!), because we can do a little looking around in advance and better answer your question.
  2. On the conference message boards: Submit your question after the conference opens on April 6. Once you’re logged into the conference, go to the message boards and find the Q&A Session board. It’ll look something like this:

Then add your question in a post.

Our experts also will take questions during the live Q&A sessions as time allows.
