AncestorNews: Bookmark These Sites

I don’t know about you, but I forever need quick bits of information, such as a statehood date or where to write for Dad’s death certificate. To help me get information fast, I got organized and made a separate folder in the Favorites or Bookmark section of my browser. Titled “Quick Facts,” the folder contains all the Web-site addresses for those moments when I need a quick lookup.

If you haven’t played with the Favorites or Bookmark feature of your browser, you’re missing out on a major online organizational tool. If you use Netscape, follow the directions at wp.netscape.com/browsers/using/newusers/basics/orgmarks.html for setting up Bookmarks; if Internet Explorer is your preferred browser, read the tips at www.microsoft.com/education/?ID=OrganizeFavorites. The ability to mark a favorite site and then return to it later will save you an incredible amount of time in searching for it time and again.
