Trace Your Native American Ancestry

By Family Tree Editors Premium
Have you grown up hearing tales that you have Native American ancestry? November is Native American Heritage month, and it’s a great time to explore the truth in the story. Paula Stuart-Warren offers up these tips for starting your research into your Native American family history:

Start with yourself and work backwards to find your Native American ancestor’s tribe, which can help you narrow down what documents may be available and where you can find them.
