The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Family History Library (FHL) <www.familysearch.org>, based in Salt Lake City, raised its microfilm rental fees early this year. New loans and renewals of current loans rose from $3.25 to $5.50 per film. The fees, last raised in 1997, include return postage. Rates vary outside the United States.

You can rent FHL microfilm through one of the 3,500 branch Family History Centers around the world. Find one near you using the link on the FamilySearch home page — then visit that center to request films and view them during the loan period (usually 30 days).
